The most convenient place to get a copy of Chromium is from this download page. (See this explanation for more information.)Ĭhromium, on the other hand, lacks this data gathering-and-reporting feature entirely. On other OSes, such as macOS, collection is off by default, like Chrome, but can be turned on from the preferences pain. Most instances of Windows 10 will have diagnostic data enabled, so Edge reports to Microsoft. Windows 10 - by far the most-used platform for Edge - has its own settings that are also applied to Edge. (They can be enabled from the browser's settings panel.) In Edge, such data harvesting may be on or off, depending on the operating system. In Chrome, that collection and transmission is off by default. "It may be tremendously buggy," warns the Chromium download page.Įven the least polished of the four "builds" that Google maintains for Chrome and Microsoft for Edge - both label that "Canary" - is substantially more stable than Chromium.Ī second difference, and one that many have relied on when they've chosen Chromium over Chrome or Edge, is that the former collects and transfers less information to Google than either of the latter.Ĭhrome and Edge can send crash reports and usage statistics to Google and Microsoft, while Chromium cannot. In practical terms, the latest version of the Chromium browser will be far buggier, much more prone to crashes, than even the rawest version of Chrome or Edge. Chromium is rough, and not just around the edges. The obvious differences lie in accompanying services that Google provides - like the automatic update mechanism - or built-in support for technologies such as digital rights management (DRM) components that let Chrome and Edge play copyrighted content.īut the biggest difference is not in the length of the two browsers' feature or support lists, but in their inherent stability (or instability). Everything in Chromium is in Chrome and in Edge, but not everything in Chrome or Edge is in Chromium. How does Chromium differ from Chrome?Ĭhromium is a subset of Chrome and of Edge, since Google and Microsoft bolt on other components and features to the former to craft their wares. Think of Chromium as an ancestor of Chrome and Edge - and not necessarily a close one - that shares its DNA with the polished browsers. Instead, Google and Microsoft add their own proprietary code to Chromium that build services like the browser's automated update mechanism and features such as its tab user experience (UX), to create the actual Chrome and Edge. Chrome and Edge, on the other hand, begin with Chromium but do not end with it. The browser compiled from the current Chromium source code is called, not surprisingly, Chromium. company said its commits - changes made to the source code - had reached 3,700. Microsoft, for example, started providing serious input into Chromium in 2019 and regularly boasts about how many "commits" its engineers have contributed to Chromium. Google is the primary backer of Chromium - it kicked off the project when it launched Chrome in September 2008 - but because the code is open-source, others, including people not employed by Google, contribute to the Chromium project. Chromium is not only the name of a browser, but also of the open-source project that generates the source code used by Chrome, Edge and others.

In general, the beginning of each one deals with the heroine trying to figure out the mechanics of her life–where she works and goes to school and what her relationships are. The Story:Įach of the four routes ends up representing a different genre: Mystery, Fantasy, Romantic Comedy, and Horror, with an additional route only revealed after finishing all the others. Ultimate failure at any one of the three generally leads to a Bad End, of which there are several per route. The only way you can get back to normal is by having experiences that remind you of things–the influx of memories will have the effect of pushing out Orion and achieving separation.īecause the main person you end up interacting with is your romance interest (sometimes he starts off as your boyfriend, sometimes not,) there are generally three parameters you can track to see how well you’re accomplishing your charade of a relationship: Affection, Trust, and Suspicion. Once you begin, Orion, in a nice display of paranoia, advises you against telling anyone you have amnesia unless you absolutely trust them, because it would otherwise only result in them either locking you away in a hospital where you’d slowly go insane from sharing your mind too long, or taking advantage of your lack of memories for their own personal gain. Starting off in a limbo-like state, Orion tells you to choose one of four world (Heart, Spade, Club, or Diamond) states which in turn determines the storyline and romance you get. Even worse, Orion has managed to displace most of your memories (memories have mass?) so all you have left is your name and knowledge of activities of daily living. In “Amnesia,” you play a protagonist who’s had the misfortune of colliding with a spirit named Orion, who is now stuck in you. So since there was a serendipitous overlap of a) me being wretchedly sick and b) #DatingSiMonth, I finally got motivated to finish off a game that’s been sitting in my queue for some time–Idea Factory’s “Amnesia: Memories.” The Setup: His work has even appeared on the front page of Reddit.Īrticles he's written have been used as a source for everything from books like Team Human by Douglas Rushkoff, media theory professor at the City University of New York's Queens College and CNN contributor, to university textbooks and even late-night TV shows like Comedy Central's with Chris Hardwick. Trump already has several restrictions on how he can look at and not disseminate evidence he learns from prosecutors in his various criminal proceedings as he and his lawyers prepare for trial and receive masses of information collected by prosecutors.Ĭannon held a sealed hearing about the handling of classified information in the case on Tuesday in South Florida, according to multiple sources familiar with the proceeding. She added that even if classified information “enters the public domain,” both Trump and his team will still be “precluded from making private or public statements” regarding the classified status of information or suggesting that their own access to information confirms or contradicts what’s in the public domain. Here's why Trump-appointed judge Aileen Cannon's decisions are under scrutiny Judge Aileen Cannon warned in her order of the consequences should any classified or otherwise sensitive information be improperly revealed to the public, pointing out such disclosures may violate the law. Trump’s legal team had wanted more leeway on the locations where they could discuss classified records with him, including at the Mar-a-Lago club and his Bedminster, New Jersey, residence. The development is one of the first times the court has set terms around classified information in a case where Trump’s team has tried to downplay the seriousness of how records were handled. The decision appears to largely be in line with restrictions special counsel Jack Smith sought to protect classified information that may be evidence in the case against Trump, which accuses him of criminally mishandling sensitive national security secrets at his Florida club and residence after he left office. Former President Donald Trump will be restricted on how and when he can look at, and talk about, classified information, a judge decided Wednesday after a sealed hearing the day before. Liv is about the only major manufacturer still making women-specific bikes, Specialized and Trek both having abandoned their women’s lines. There is plenty of stiffness around the lower section of the frame, especially around the bottom bracket area, and you feel like you are getting a decent return for your effort.Ĭube has delivered a really good frameset that’s relaxed enough in its geometry that you can really tap out the miles, but if you have one of those days when you really want to get out and just smash it about it’ll also deliver the fun factor. A kick on the pedals away from the lights or when launching into a bit of a sprint sees the Attain respond well. With an all-in build weight of 8.77kg, the Cube is in the right sort of ballpark for the money but it does feel much more sprightly than the scales suggest. The mixture of Shimano Ultegra and 105 components is a little odd, though it does help keep the price down. It’s not a bad weight either, and certainly feels responsive to your input, making it fun to ride fast as well as comfortable for longer, more sedate jaunts. The Attain GTC SL is part of Cube’s endurance range and it delivers a very good combination of comfort, both from the frameset and the geometry, and performance. This bike is at its best when getting in the big miles on less than perfect roads and, with the ability to take mudguards and wide tyres, it'll happily do that year-round. It handles superbly, it’s highly comfortable, and with space for tyres up to 35mm, it can take you off the beaten track too. The Defy Advanced 3 isn’t a gazelle of a bike like the more race-focused TCR but it's certainly not dull either. The sum total of all the design features is that you can ride the Defy Advanced 3 for hours without feeling too jolted, vibrated or generally shaken up. Giant’s own Approach saddle is comfy too. It comes fitted with tubeless 32mm Giant Gavia Fondo 1 tyres, slim and tapered seat stays, and Giant’s D-Fuse seatpost that is designed to flex slightly to help reduce road buzz. If a standard race bike geometry leaves you aching, perhaps this setup, with the handlebar positioned higher and closer to the saddle, will work better for you.Įven putting geometry to one side, the Defy Advanced 3 is a really comfortable bike. Best electric road bike under £3,000: Ribble Endurance AL e Enthusiast Shimano 105 At around that same time, the federal government began forcing the Kaw people to relocate to a new reservation-about 100,000 acres of land in what is today northern Oklahoma. While his paternal grandfather, William Curtis, tried to convince Charles to give up racing and go back to school, William’s death in 1873 left the decision to Charles. He became an excellent horseback rider and began racing as a jockey. Charley joined them soon thereafter, spending most of the next eight years with the Pappans on the reservation. Charles’ maternal grandparents, Louis Pappan and Julie Gonville Pappan, decided to return to the Kaw reservation at Council Grove in 1865. 2 His ability to speak Kansa, French, and English made his movement between these groups easier, but this lifestyle was not sustainable. She died when “Charley” was only three years old as a result, he was raised primarily by his grandparents on both sides, spending portions of his childhood among the White and Native American communities near North Topeka, Kansas. 1Ĭharles Curtis was born on January 25, 1860, to Orren (also spelled Orrin) Curtis, a White man who later fought in the Civil War, and Ellen Pappan, who was one quarter Kaw Indian and descended from Monchousia (also known as White Plume), a Kansa-Kaw chief. This perspective also shaped his views on tribal authority, allotment, boarding school education, and citizenship. Curtis believed that assimilation was the best path for Indigenous peoples and over time, his political success affirmed his belief. His rise in American politics was truly remarkable, as Native Americans had historically experienced war, displacement, dispossession, and racial discrimination. However, there was some confusion over whether or not she was the “first vice president of color.” Contemporaries were surprised to find out that Harris was actually the second preceding her was Charles Curtis, a Kansas Republican who served as vice president under Herbert Hoover, and was an enrolled member of the Kaw Nation. As the first woman, first African American, and first person of South Asian descent elected to the vice presidency, Harris’ achievement was historic in several significant ways. On January 20, 2021, Kamala Harris was sworn in as Vice President of the United States of America. Track & Traceįor an extra charge, you can add a Track & Trace code to your parcel or letter. I do not have to get up at the crack of dawn to let my girls out, I can go on vacation without someone coming over every morning and evening, and I know they’re as safe as can be at night! Even if a predator got into the run, they would not be able to break into the coop door. It has been worth its weight in gold, though. If it had been up to me I probably would have waited and saved that money, but my husband bought it as an anniversary gift for me (we’re super romantic). Was the automatic chicken door necessary? No. Now before you have a heart attack, let me say that that includes every single thing for the chicken coop AND run we ended up making the coop 4×6′ plus the nest box we bought special plywood siding to save time it also includes an automatic chicken door that cost $220 and it is the strongest chicken coop I’ve ever seen and will last pretty much forever! I don’t really want to admit this, because I don’t want to frighten you away, but the truth is we spent $775 building our coop. You will be sent the link for my chicken coop supply list automatically! To get the supply list, you just need to click here to sign up for my emails. There were maybe a few small things we needed here or there – another board or an extra box of screws – that are not included on the list, but it should have 99% of what you need to build a 4×6′ chicken coop. To make your life a million times easier, I’ve gone ahead and typed up our supply list to share with you here. We ended up taking several of the latches and locks back to get different kinds. Some of the hardware we bought for our chicken coop. We ended up making two trips to Menards, with both trips being 3 hours each. The shopping list was a monster by the time it was done! We also bought some supplies for our garden and yard at the same time, which in hindsight was not a good idea. Once we had our plan, I drew a simple sketch and we started counting up supplies. Both sunlight and warmth are important for egg production, and for general chicken happiness! Supplies Needed to Build A Chicken Coop This would provide lots of sunlight all year, and extra warmth in the winter. I’m short, but not 4 feet short! □ I also planned for a very large window on the south side, rather than several smaller windows. I knew I wanted a nest box sticking out from the coop, and I needed a run that I could walk into standing up. We made a few changes to their chicken coop to make it work better for us. And with the chicks growing fast, we needed to get started! Our ‘Inspiration Coop’ from The Housewives of Riverton Prior to the chicken coop, the only thing my husband or I had ever built was a simple fence! We were nervous, but up for the challenge. Every time I saw that adorable blue and white coop, I just fell more in love! There were enough building details and photos that we felt we had sufficient direction to get started. The one that kept sticking out to me, though, was from Housewives of Riverton. We switched to looking for detailed chicken coop plans online (which are surprisingly difficult to find), and had a few ideas saved already. We had four chickens already, with the possibility of more in the future, so we needed at least a 4×4 chicken coop. I could also tell that most kits advertised way too many chickens per coop there is no way you can fit 6 chickens into two square feet! You should ideally have 4 square feet PER chicken in the coop, and 10 square feet per chicken in the run. Plus we were planning to place our coop under an ash tree that loves dropping branches, and I needed my girls to be safe in a sturdy structure. But I knew that they would not last long – maybe a year or two in our climate. They were relatively cheap (around $200 on average), and certainly the fastest, easiest option. I spent about a week seriously considering pre-made chicken coop kits. |
